Kinepolis Oostende, Kursaal Oostende and De Grote Post are the three main festival locations.
When does the festival take place?
Ostend Film Festival will take place from 30 January to 7 February 2026.
When will the completed programme be online?
Full programming will be announced in December. From then, you can also buy tickets.
Are the seats numbered?
No, the seats are not numbered. If you want to be sure of a suitable seat for you, be sure to arrive on time!
Are there film screenings for visually impaired or blind people?
Yes! We label our movies with audio description.
Is Film Festival Ostend accessible for people using a wheelchair?
All festival locations are wheelchair accessible.

At FFO, we offer a unique look behind the scenes, a delightful festival and a valuable contribution to your resume. You can always contact us with your resume and an application letter.
How do I become a volunteer?
Each year we are looking for volunteers for different positions: reception, drivers, editorial staff. You can apply via an online application form.

Ticket Sale
When does the ticket sale start?
The ticket sale will start the same day the programming is announced, in December.
Where can I find information on ticket sales and prices?

What’s the deadline to buy a festival pass?
You can only buy a festival pass during the festival.
I can’t be present, can I get my money back?
Tickets will not be paid back, except when a screening is canceled.
Do I qualify for a reduced rate?
The reduced rate is intended for people under the age of 26 and people over 60.
Can I get a discount on my train ticket with during the festival?
Yes, thanks to SNCB, you get 50% off your return ticket to Ostend. Each ticket contains a unique SNCB code with which you can buy your Discovery ticket on the website nmbs.be/discovery.
How do I buy a ticket with the festival pass?
The festival pass can be ordered online or at the Tourism Ostend desk until the last Wednesday before the start of the festival. A physical festival pass is no longer available.

Is there a 'physical' festival pass?
No, there are only digital festival passes available.

The materials for all submissions (online application form and screener) should be delivered by 1 November.

Where can I buy tickets for 'Meet the Masters'?
Tickets for 'Meet the Masters' are available online via filmfestivaloostende.be, the UiTloket or De Grote Post. The tickets are also on sale at the box office of De Grote Post, an hour before the event begins.
Where can I buy tickets for 'FFO Premières'?
Tickets for 'FFO Premières' are available online or at the box office of Kinepolis Ostend.
