Real Faces

After a breakup, casting agent Julia moves to Brussels. There, she becomes the roommate of Eliott, a quiet but driven microbiologist who will soon leave for his doctoral research in Greenland. Their growing friendship creates space to reflect on both their professional and personal life choices. Leni Huyghe has made several short films and contributed in 2020 to the documentary ‘J’attendrai le jour et la nuit’ about the COVID crisis in residential care homes. ‘Real Faces’ is her first feature film as a director. She wrote the screenplay together with Vincent Vanneste. The film had its world premiere at the SXSW Festival in Texas.
