Music and visuals naturally enhance each other, but finding the perfect synergy remains a challenge. Sync’ day offers experienced filmmakers and composers the opportunity to explore the pivotal role of music in audiovisual productions – from creative concept to practical execution. Sync’ day is organised by Sabam in collaboration with the Belgian Music Publishers Association and FFO.
The day begins with an inspiring keynote exploring the role of music in film and audiovisual storytelling. This is followed by a focused session covering everything from sync and production music to budgeting, financing, and rights management. At lunchtime, the Score Stories sessions take centre stage. Production houses share how they make musical choices in real projects, using practical examples to illustrate their approach. After that, participants can split into two tracks:
Speakers include CTM, Sonhouse, Johnnydepony, De Wereldvrede, and Sony, with more names to be announced in January.
The day finishes with a unique networking opportunity: composers and filmmakers meet in speed-dates to exchange ideas and kickstart collaborations. Selected film projects will be matched with composers to shape the musical journey together. Interested? Apply via the forms below, and we’ll help find the perfect match.
