For You (Per te)

Paolo is only in his early forties when he receives devastating news: he has a very specific, rare form of Alzheimer’s disease. He will gradually lose all his memories. As his world begins to fade, he resolves to live his life to the fullest, everyday. Strengthened by the unconditional love of his wife Michela and his son Mattia, this joyful yet painful journey draws the family closer. Together they create new precious memories that transcend the ones being lost.

This moving film was inspired by a true story of Mattia Piccoli. In 2021, at the age of 11, he received a tribute from the president of Italy for the exceptional care he provided for his father. ‘Per te’ premiered at the Rome Film Festival.
