Three Goodbyes (Tre ciotole)

After a trivial argument, Marta and Antonio decide to end their relationship. They need to rediscover themselves and try to understand the meaning of their separation. He throws himself into his work as a chef, while she seems to have more trouble finding her footing again. Her look on life changes drastically when she realizes that her lack of appetite has nothing to do with her heartbreak, but her own physical health.

The Spanish director Isabel Coixet traveled to Rome to make a film about love, loss and forgiveness. Before ‘Tre ciotole’, she based her work on the book, with the same name, from Michela Murgia. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected as the opening film of the Valladolid Film Festival.
