Rich gaat door het leven onder zijn artiestennaam Ricky Boyd. Wanneer hij plots een brief ontvangt die aan zijn echte naam is geadresseerd, weet hij wie de afzender is: zijn jeugdliefde Alf. Rich legt meteen zijn oor aan de hoorn en belt hem op. Via de telefoon halen ze herinneringen op aan hun zorgeloze zomers samen.

'Fan Letter' maakt deel uit van de kortfilmcompetitie en wordt vertoond op donderdag 6 februari om 16:30 uur. Bovendien wordt de kortfilm ook vertoond als voorprogramma van 'Queer' op maandag 3 februari.

Set in the glamorous 1950s, Fan Letter follows Ricky, a renowned singer at the height of his fame. One evening, before another sold-out show, Ricky receives a letter from someone he thought was lost to time—his first love, whom he hasn't heard from in years. Attached to the letter is a phone number.

Unsure of what to expect, Ricky dials the number. As the phone rings, questions linger: Is the person on the other end still the same? Will the connection they shared remain, or has time eroded what they once had?

Fan Letter is a heartfelt exploration of love, memory, and the ways the past can reach out and touch the present—leaving Ricky to confront the ultimate question: can we ever truly go back?
