Annecy International Animation Film Festival kreeg in juni al een sneak peek van ‘Hola Frida!’ te zien. De film, geregisseerd door Karine Vézina en André Kadi, beleefde daarna zijn wereldpremière op het Morelia International Film Festival in Mexico en werd vertoond in de Cineteca Nacional en het museum Casa Azul, Frida Kahlo’s geboortehuis.
